Whether you are a high school senior getting ready to graduate or a junior getting ready to take your spot as a senior, this Shoot Out is perfect for you! Graduation is quickly approaching so if you haven't had your senior casuals taken, it's time to start planning. Seniors normally start booking their sessions the summer prior to their senior year to take full advantage of having unique photos for yearbook ads as well as graduation invitations and other novelty items to show off to fellow classmates all year long. If you're one of those procrastinators (like myself), don't worry. I'm here to make sure you still get those fabulous senior casuals you've always dreamt of. Or, if you want to get a jumpstart on next year, now is the perfect time!

I have set aside the entire day to squeeze all of you in. We will spend the day in Downtown Gulfport creating amazing images with an urban & modern feel. There are plenty of opportunities for unique & individualized sessions with this location so no one will have the exact same look. The outfits you choose will greatly impact the style & look of your session. I'm available for wardrobe/outfit ideas & styling. It's one of my very favorite parts of planning the session! I have even created an inspiration board on Pinterest for you all to look over & get ideas of outfits that photograph well.

The |Helton| Family

It's a New Year & that means new resolutions, or new goals as I like to put it! One of many business goals I have for 2014 is to post more to this blog. I don't have the chance to post as much as I'd like between being a mother, wife, full-time nursing student, personal taxi driver, chef, cheerleader, party planner..the list goes on & on. However, that's all going to change this year. I figure if I only have time to post once a month, it's better than not at all. As I've learned through my personal "get fit" goal, it's not about having time; it's about making time. So that's my goal, and I'm sticking to it! I really love having this outlet to share all of my ideas, opinions, & latest work with you all. So, let's get this New Year started off right! Here's my Very 1st session of 2014...the beautiful Helton family! Melissa is a great friend of mine I met in nursing school. We've seriously spent more time together in class & clinical than with our own families this past year. It's given us a lot of time to grow close, and I love her as if she were family. Our "nursing school family" is the best, and I hope we stay in touch long after graduation.

When Melissa asked to book her very first family session with me, I was ecstatic & felt extremely honored. This family is just picture perfect! Don't believe me? Look for yourself...

Gosh, I just love that warm winter lighting we get here in the South!

If you're wondering what to wear & how to style a session, here's a good place to start! Lots of textures, layers, and simple colors/patterns! Notice: no one is matchy matchy. Everyone in blue jeans & white shirts is a thing of the past. If you have any questions or need helping getting ready for your session, please don't hesitate to ask. A good portion of my clients ask for my ideas & opinions, & I just love being involved in the whole process..start to finish! I strive to make each experience with Jennifer Hayden Photography as fun & stress free as possible.

Everyone who books a boudoir session with me is in for a special treat as I have booked a professional makeup artist {Jessica Underwood} and hair stylist {Tori Ferrill} for the day to make you look & feel your absolute best for the session! To make sure each of you experience a complete day of pampering, I will also provide mimosas & light snacks while you're having your hair & makeup done!

If you're worried about privacy or being a little shy in front the camera, I ensure you that your session will be completely private in a secured, luxury room. {Hoppy Easter}

This was my 1st themed session right before I started my business, just one month after purchasing my 1st dslr camera....a Nikon, of course! It included two of my very favorite little people in the whole wide world, my own children! Dylan had recently turned 6 in March & Gracelyn was anxiously waiting for her 4th birthday in July.

For this session, I wanted to incorporate muted tones, pastels, & a few simple, props with a vintage feel. It was pretty much spur-of-the-moment so I just grabbed a few items I had around the house, loaded the kids in the car, & ended up at this great location I had been driving by for a few years!

Haha, she is something else! She is lucky to have such an awesome big brother who is beyond patient & so loving!

I wish they didn't have to grow up so fast!! Time, please slowwww down! Just a little?

Yes, they really are this sweet all the time! I feel so lucky to have such loving children; they put a smile on my face every single day!

I just had to capture their favorite pastime...READING! And, particularly, they love books by their favorite author, Dr. Seuss. He's my favorite also. = )

{Miss Priss} was having a typical pouty moment, and of course, I had to capture that too not knowing it would turn out to be one of my favorites from the entire session! And, {Mr. Serious} isn't always serious, but he seems to have more of these moments the older her gets!

Last, but not least, these are my two happy babies/personal models who absolutely love being in front the camera...maybe because I've had one in their faces almost every day since they were born! I can't wait for more sessions with these two! Mommy, loves you Dylan Presley & Gracelyn Kay!

I love that I have these photos to look back on for many years to come. With everything going on in our lives, it's sometimes easy to forget all the fun times we've shared in the past. When I'm looking through my photo album & see their smiling faces, I'm instantly reminded of how much fun we had that day & how glad I am to have captured it!
